  • Time-Limited Access: You can configure how long a link remains active (e.g., 1 hour, 24 hours) and set a global “edit window” (e.g., users can only edit for 7 days after the initial submission).

    • Require the user’s email to match an email field in the entry.

    • Set an “Allowlist” of specific email addresses or entire domains (e.g., *@company.com).

  • Merge Tag Integration: You can automatically include a magic link in Gravity Forms notifications or confirmations using the {gv_magic_link} merge tag.

How to Set It Up

  • Install & Activate: Ensure you have both GravityView and the Magic Links Extension installed.

  • Enable in View Settings:

    • Open your View in the WordPress editor.

    • Scroll to View Settings and click the Magic Links tab.

    • Check Enable Magic Links.

  • Configure Security: Select the form field that contains the user’s email address and set the link expiration time.

  • Add the “Edit Entry” Link: Ensure the “Link to Edit Entry” field is added to your Multiple Entries or Single Entry layout so users have a place to click.
