The Ultimate Member Addon for The Newsletter Plugin (TNP) is a specialized bridge that syncs your membership community with your email marketing. Instead of managing two separate databases, this addon ensures that when someone joins your site via Ultimate Member (UM), they are handled correctly by your newsletter system.

Subscription on Registration: You can add a “Join our Newsletter” checkbox directly to the Ultimate Member registration forms.
Implicit Subscription: Option to automatically subscribe users upon registration without a checkbox (best for sites where membership implies newsletter consent, though be mindful of GDPR).
Role-to-List Mapping: One of the most powerful features. You can automatically assign users to specific Newsletter lists based on their Ultimate Member Role (e.g., “Gold Members” go to the VIP list, while “Free Members” go to the General list).
Dynamic List Sync: When a user’s role changes within Ultimate Member, the addon can automatically add them to or remove them from corresponding Newsletter lists.

Install the Addon: You can find the Ultimate Member Addon within the “Addons” or “Extensions” menu of The Newsletter Plugin dashboard.
Configure Mapping: Go to Newsletter > Ultimate Member. Here, you will see a list of your UM roles.
Assign Lists: For each role, select which Newsletter lists should be Activated (added) or Deactivated (removed).
Form Placement: Edit your Ultimate Member Registration Form and ensure the “Newsletter” field is added if you want users to have a choice.
