Technical Specifications & Requirements

To run the Authorize.net Add-On successfully, your server environment and form setup must meet these criteria:

• SSL Certificate: Mandatory. You must have an active SSL installed and your site configured to run over HTTPS to handle credit card data securely.

• PHP cURL Extension: Your server must have the PHP cURL extension enabled to communicate with the Authorize.net API.

• Authorize.net Account: You need an active merchant account. For testing, a Sandbox account is required.

• API Credentials: You will need your API Login ID and Transaction Key from your Authorize.net dashboard.

• One-Time Payments: Standard “Product and Services” transactions.

• Recurring Subscriptions: Support for Automated Recurring Billing (ARB) to handle monthly or yearly plans.

• Authorize & Capture: Option to only “Authorize” a payment (hold funds) and “Capture” (charge) it later manually.

Required Form Fields

For the feed to process correctly, your Gravity Form must include these specific fields:

• Credit Card Field: The dedicated Gravity Forms credit card input.

• Product Field: At least one product or a “Total” field.

• Billing Information: Mapping for Name, Address, and Email is highly recommended (and often required by fraud filters).
