The WPAdverts Memberships Add-on is a specialized extension designed to turn a standard classifieds site into a subscription-based platform. Instead of charging users per individual ad, you can sell “plans” that grant them a specific number of listings or premium perks over a set period.

The addon primarily works by restricting Pricings (listing types) based on a user’s membership status.
Usage Limits: You can limit how many ads a member can post (e.g., “Standard Members” get 5 ads per month, while “VIPs” get unlimited).
Role-Based Access: You can restrict specific pricing tiers to certain WordPress User Roles.
Time Constraints: Set “Intervals” to control how often a user can post. For example, you can allow a user to post 3 ads every 10 days.
Post Status Control: You can decide if the limit applies only to “Published” ads or includes “Expired” and “Trashed” ads to prevent users from gaming the system by deleting and reposting.
The plugin operates differently depending on whether you use the built-in Payments Module or the WooCommerce Integration.
This is the “lightweight” version. You create membership plans directly within WPAdverts. It’s best for simple sites using the default PayPal or Bank Transfer options.
Setup: You go to Classifieds > Memberships > Pricings to set the limits.
Focus: Purely focused on the number of ads and their visibility duration.
If you have the WPAdverts WooCommerce Integration, this addon connects WPAdverts with WooCommerce Memberships.
Automatic Renewals: If you also use WooCommerce Subscriptions, you can charge users monthly/yearly, and their ad-posting credits will reset automatically each billing cycle.
Unified Checkout: Users buy their “Listing Package” just like any other product in your store.
