Key Features

• Support for 160+ Currencies: Out of the box, it includes almost all ISO-4217 currencies. You can enable specific ones for your site, and if a niche currency is missing, you can add it manually.

• Automatic Exchange Rate Syncing: To keep pricing accurate across the site, it can automatically sync exchange rates (typically once per day) via a reliable external API.

• Advanced Price Field: This replaces the standard price box with a more robust tool that allows users to:

  • Toggle between Fixed and Range: Users can enter a single price or a “Min to Max” range.

  • Select a Period: Useful for rentals (e.g., “$500 per month” or “$20 per day”).

  • Currency Switcher: A dropdown directly within the price field allows posters to select their preferred currency.

Configuration & Usage

Once the extension is activated, you can manage it through the WordPress admin under Classifieds > Options > Currencies.

1. General Settings

You can define a Default Currency (usually inherited from your core WPAdverts settings). You can also choose whether to display the currency symbol on the left or right of the price and toggle the visibility of the currency switcher on the frontend.

2. Managing Rates

The “Currencies List” provides a dashboard to:

• Filter currencies by ISO code.

• Manually Edit specific rates if you prefer not to use automatic syncing.

• Sync Now to refresh all rates instantly.

3. Frontend Integration

The extension integrates seamlessly with both the Publish (Add Advert) and Search forms.

• Searching: If a user searches for ads up to “$100 USD,” the plugin uses the exchange rates to include ads posted in other currencies (like “€90 EUR”) that fall within that price range.
