The WPAdverts reCAPTCHA Addon is a premium extension for the WPAdverts classifieds plugin. Its primary job is to stop bot-driven spam by adding Google’s reCAPTCHA verification to your ad submission and contact forms.

Form Integration: Specifically protects the [adverts_add] form (where users post ads) and the built-in Contact Form used by visitors to reach sellers.
Version Support: It is compatible with reCAPTCHA v2 (the “I’m not a robot” checkbox) and reCAPTCHA v3 (invisible protection based on user behavior scores).
Logged-in User Exclusion: You can configure the plugin to disable reCAPTCHA for registered/logged-in users. This “rewards” your members by letting them bypass the verification step.
Customization: Offers light and dark themes for the reCAPTCHA widget to match your site’s design, as well as “Normal” or “Compact” sizing.
To get it running, you follow these general steps:
Get API Keys: Register your site on the to generate a Site Key and a Secret Key.
Plugin Settings: Navigate to Classifieds > Options > reCAPTCHA in your WordPress dashboard.
Authentication: Enter your keys and choose where you want the captcha to appear (Ad Submission, Contact Form, or both).
Threshold (v3 only): If using v3, you can adjust the “score threshold” to determine how strictly the plugin should flag suspicious activity.
