Core Functionality

• Automatic Resolution: The extension works in the background to automatically resolve a subscriber’s Country, Region, and City (where data is available) based on their IP address at the time of subscription.

• Engine Integration: It replaces the basic geolocation features found in the standard “Reports” addon, providing a more robust engine for processing active subscribers.

• Background Processing: The geolocation engine processes existing subscribers in batches to avoid overloading your server, showing a progress bar in the administration panel.

Targeting & Segmentation

• Country-Level Targeting: When composing a newsletter, you can select specific countries to include or exclude. The composer will display the estimated number of active subscribers in those regions.

• Dynamic Lists: You can create “Smart Lists” or use targeting filters in the Newsletter Composer to send different versions of a campaign to different geographic groups.

• Data Updating: The plugin attempts to update location data when subscribers interact with your emails (clicks or opens), ensuring the most current location is recorded.
