Access Control by Plan: Instead of just using standard WordPress user roles, you can assign specific wpForo Access Sets (e.g., Read Only, Standard Access, Full Access) to different MemberPress Membership Plans.
Automated Permission Sync: When a user’s membership status changes in MemberPress (e.g., they upgrade, cancel, or expire), their forum access permissions are updated automatically.
Granular Restriction: You can restrict access at the Category, Forum, or Sub-forum level.
Seamless User Experience:
Single Sign-On (SSO): Users log in through MemberPress and are automatically authenticated for the forum.
Profile Integration: Syncs profile fields and can display membership badges or labels within forum posts.
Visibility Rules: Option to hide private forums entirely from non-members and search engines, or show them with a “teaser” or paywall prompt.
Create Plans: You first set up your memberships (Gold, Silver, etc.) inside MemberPress.
Edit Forums: Navigate to Dashboard > wpForo > Forums.
Map Access: When editing a specific forum, a new section will appear allowing you to select which MemberPress Plan gets which Forum Access level.
Example: You can set the “VIP Forum” so that only the “Platinum Plan” has Standard Access, while “Free Members” have No Access.
Automatic Enforcement: The plugin checks the user’s active MemberPress subscription in real-time before rendering forum topics.
