The LatePoint PayPal Addon is a pro-level extension designed to integrate the PayPal REST API directly into the LatePoint booking workflow. It allows businesses to automate appointment confirmations by requiring full or partial payments during the booking process.

To run this addon, your environment must meet the following minimum standards:
WordPress Version: 6.5 or higher.
PHP Version: 7.4 or higher (8.0+ recommended for security and performance).
Core Plugin: LatePoint (v4.0 or higher, usually requires a Pro license for addon access).
SSL Certificate: Required (HTTPS) for secure communication between your server and PayPal’s API.
PayPal Account: A PayPal Business Account to generate the necessary REST API credentials.
The addon is more than just a “Pay Now” button; it deep-links into LatePoint’s internal booking logic:
Payment Modes:
Full Payment: Requires the customer to pay the entire amount to secure the slot.
Deposits: Allows customers to pay a fixed amount or a percentage (e.g., 20%) upfront, with the remainder due in person.
Sandbox & Live Environments: Includes a built-in toggle to switch between PayPal Sandbox (testing) and Live (production) modes without changing code.
Currency Support: Inherits currency settings from LatePoint, supporting all major currencies handled by PayPal (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.).
Automatic Status Sync: Once a payment is successful, the booking status automatically updates from “Pending” to “Approved” (or your custom status).
Refund Integration: Basic refund handling is often supported directly through the LatePoint transaction dashboard, which communicates back to PayPal.
The integration uses the PayPal REST API (Client ID and Secret) rather than the older “Standard” IPN method.

Activate License: Ensure your LatePoint Pro license is active in the WordPress dashboard.
Install Addon: Navigate to LatePoint → Add-ons and click “Install” on the PayPal Payments tile.
API Keys:
Log in to the PayPal Developer Dashboard.
Create a “REST API App.”
Copy the Client ID and Secret Key.
Connect: Paste these keys into LatePoint → Settings → Payments → PayPal Settings.
