The Gravity Flow Parent-Child Forms Extension allows Gravity Flow administrators to define the parent-child relationship between forms. When viewing the entries of the Parent form, you can submit a new child form and link it to the current entry.

While Gravity Forms has “Nested Forms” (via Gravity Wiz) for collecting data inside a single form submission, Gravity Flow’s Parent-Child extension is built for ongoing workflows. It allows you to:
Link Independent Entries: Connect a child entry to a parent entry even if they were submitted at different times by different people.
Centralized Tracking: When viewing a “Parent” entry in the workflow or admin area, a dedicated sidebar displays all linked “Child” entries.
Cross-Entry Navigation: Users can jump from a child evaluation back to the parent application or between “sibling” child entries with one click.
Front-End Submission: You can embed a child form on a WordPress page. By adding ?workflow_parent_entry_id={entry_id} to the URL, the submission is automatically tethered to the correct parent.
Workflow Integration: Child entries can have their own entirely separate workflows (approvals, PDF generation, etc.) while still remaining linked to the parent’s status.
UI Enhancements: The extension adds “metaboxes” to the entry detail screen, making it easy for administrators to see the “big picture” of all related data in one view.
Data Mapping: You can map values from the parent form into the child form to ensure consistency (e.g., automatically pulling the “Project ID” from the parent into every child report).
