Aelia WooCommerce PayPal Standard is a multi-account gateway integrated with Aelia developer’s Currency Switcher to add support for multiple PayPal accounts. Once configured, it can redirect payments to a separate separate account, depending on the currency of the payment order.

The Aelia WooCommerce PayPal Standard (Multi Account) plugin is a specialized extension designed for international or multi-brand stores. Its primary function is to route customer payments to different PayPal accounts based on specific rules, most notably the currency of the transaction.
The plugin essentially “multiplies” the default WooCommerce PayPal Standard gateway, allowing you to enter unique credentials for different scenarios.
Currency-Based Routing: The most common use case. You can direct USD payments to a US-based PayPal account and EUR payments to a European account. This helps businesses avoid PayPal’s high internal currency conversion fees (typically $3-4\%$).
Fallback Mechanism: You can set a “default” account so that if an order doesn’t match a specific rule, the payment still goes through to your primary account.
Sandbox Testing: It allows you to configure dedicated Sandbox credentials for each account individually, making testing across multiple regions much safer.
Compatibility: It is built on the robust, “classic” PayPal Standard flow, meaning it works with most themes and supports WooCommerce Subscriptions for recurring payments.
This plugin does not work in a vacuum. To use it for multi-currency routing, you must have:
Aelia Currency Switcher: This is a hard requirement. The Multi-Account plugin acts as an add-on to the Switcher; it cannot detect or handle multiple currencies on its own.
Aelia Foundation Classes: A free framework plugin (usually installed automatically) that handles the underlying logic for Aelia products.
Active PayPal Accounts: You obviously need separate, valid PayPal Business accounts for each destination you plan to route to.
