The LatePoint Payments SureCart Addon is a bridge that allows you to replace LatePoint’s native checkout with SureCart’s more advanced e-commerce engine. This is particularly useful for businesses needing complex tax handling (EU VAT), physical product bundles, or advanced sales funnels (upsells/order bumps).

To use this addon, your WordPress environment must meet the following criteria:
LatePoint Plugin: Must be installed and activated (typically requires a Pro license to access the Add-ons gallery).
SureCart Plugin: Must be installed, activated, and connected to your SureCart account.
SSL Certificate: Required for secure payment processing (standard for any e-commerce site).
PHP Version: Ideally 7.4 or higher (matching the requirements for both parent plugins).

Product Sync: Once enabled, LatePoint creates a product in your SureCart dashboard (usually named “LatePoint Booking”). You can rename this to something more customer-facing.
The Redirect: Unlike the native Stripe/PayPal addons which keep users on the LatePoint form, this addon redirects the user to the SureCart URL to finalize the transaction.
Data Sync: Customer information collected in LatePoint is passed to SureCart to populate the checkout fields.
Status Update: Upon successful payment, SureCart sends a signal back to LatePoint to mark the appointment as “Approved” or “Paid.”
Installation: Navigate to LatePoint > Add-ons and install the SureCart Addon.
Enable Processor: Go to LatePoint > Settings > Payments and toggle SureCart on.
Pro-tip: It is recommended to disable other LatePoint payment methods (like native Stripe) to avoid customer confusion.
Product Regeneration: Click the “Regenerate” button in the LatePoint SureCart settings to ensure the connection between the two plugins is synced.
Checkout Customization: Head to SureCart > Products to edit the appearance of the “LatePoint Booking” product, add images, or configure specific tax rules.
