PixelYourSite treats Pinterest as a first-class citizen, but there’s a key catch: while Meta Pixel and GA4 tracking are included in the core plugin, Pinterest tracking is a paid add-on.
It is designed to be a “set it and forget it” solution for Pinterest marketing, handling both the visual side (the Save button) and the data side (the Pinterest Tag).

The PYS Pinterest add-on is essentially a bridge between your WordPress/WooCommerce site and Pinterest’s advertising and organic platforms.
Pinterest Tag & API Integration: It doesn’t just fire the browser tag; it also supports the Pinterest Conversion API (CAPI). This sends data directly from your server to Pinterest, which is crucial for bypassing ad blockers and iOS privacy restrictions.
Automatic WooCommerce Tracking: It automatically maps your products to Pinterest events. If someone views a product, adds it to their cart, or completes a purchase, PYS fires the corresponding Pinterest event with the correct currency, value, and product IDs.
“Save” Button Management: You can automatically add Pinterest “Save” buttons to your images. You have control over button style, size, and which images should be excluded.
Rich Pins Validation: It helps ensure your site meets the requirements for Rich Pins (metadata like price and availability), which makes your organic pins look more professional.
Global Events: It tracks “non-e-commerce” actions like searches, form submissions, and downloads, sending them to Pinterest as custom events for building highly specific audiences.
You don’t need to touch any code. The setup is mostly copy-pasting IDs:
Install the Main Plugin: You must have the main PixelYourSite plugin active first.
Add Tag ID: Get your Pinterest Tag ID from your Pinterest Ads Manager and paste it into the PYS Pinterest tab.
Enable CAPI: Generate an Access Token in your Pinterest settings and paste it into the plugin to enable server-side tracking.
Claim Website: There is a dedicated field to paste your Pinterest meta tag to “claim” your site, which is necessary for analytics.
