Core Functionalities

The plugin operates in two primary modes that can be toggled in the settings:

• Flagging Only: Users simply click a flag icon to alert moderators.

• Reporting & Flagging: Users click a flag icon which opens a pop-up form where they can select a “Bad Comment Category” (e.g., Spam, Harassment, Offensive) and leave a detailed reason.

Auto-Moderation Engine

One of the most powerful features is the ability to set “thresholds” for automatic actions:

• Threshold Triggers: You can set a specific number of flags (e.g., 5 flags) or down-votes/dislikes (e.g., 10 dislikes) that will trigger moderation.

• Automated Actions: Once a threshold is met, the plugin can automatically:

  • Unapprove the comment (puts it back in the moderation queue).

  • Trash the comment (moves it directly to the trash).

 Key Features & Settings

• Custom Categories: Add, edit, or remove the reasons users see in the reporting pop-up (e.g., “Off-topic,” “Spoilers,” “Hate Speech”).

• Guest Control: Choose whether only registered users can report comments or if guests (unregistered visitors) are allowed to participate.

• Email Notifications:

  • Immediate alerts to admins/moderators when a report is submitted.

  • Alerts when a comment is automatically unapproved or trashed.

  • Customizable email subjects and body text.

• Frontend Phrases: Built-in “Phrases” system allows you to translate or change any frontend text (like “Report this comment”) directly from the dashboard without touching .po files.
