The plugin provides five specific data views (Tabs) that can be displayed together in a Tabbed layout or as individual widgets:
| Widget Type | Description |
| Most Voted Comments | Displays comments with the highest number of “Likes/Votes.” |
| Active Comment Threads | Highlights the first comments of threads with the most replies. |
| Most Commented Posts | Lists the posts on your site that have generated the most discussion. |
| Recent Comments | A live feed of the latest comments across the entire site. |
| Active Comment Authors | Showcases the most frequent commenters with their avatars and comment counts. |
The widgets are designed to be highly flexible and “pixel-perfect” for your sidebar or footer areas:
Two Display Modes: Use the Tabbed Layout to save space or drag-and-drop each widget individually into different sidebar areas.
Visual Controls: You can customize background colors, icon colors, width, margins, and paddings directly from the settings.
Content Filtering: Options to set the number of items to list and the specific time-frame (e.g., top comments from the last 24 hours, week, month, or all time).
Thumbnail Support: For the “Most Voted” widget, you can choose between displaying a thumb-up icon or the author’s avatar.
Compatibility: Requires WordPress 5.0+ and wpDiscuz 7.0.0+.
Responsive Design: Fully responsive and mobile-ready.
RTL Support: Ready for Right-to-Left languages.
Performance: AJAX-powered for real-time updates and includes caching options to ensure it doesn’t slow down page load times.
Placement: Primarily designed for Sidebar and Widget-ready areas. (Note: It does not natively support shortcodes for placement inside post content without third-party workarounds).
Once installed, you can find the settings in two places:
Appearance > Widgets: To drag the “wpDiscuz Widget” to your sidebar.
wpDiscuz > Settings > Addons > Widgets: To customize the layout, colors, and specific tab titles.
