Plugin Version: Requires the latest version of the WPForms Core plugin.
License Tier: Available only for Pro and Elite license holders. It is not available in the Lite (free) version.
WordPress Version: Compatible with the latest stable release of WordPress (currently 6.x+).
GDPR Constraint: This addon will not work if “Disable User Cookies” is enabled in your WPForms settings, as it relies on cookies to track the session.
The addon uses Enhanced Smart Detection to monitor user activity in real-time. Unlike the “Save and Resume” addon (which requires the user to manually click a button), the Form Abandonment addon is passive.
Detection: As soon as the user interacts with a field, the plugin begins monitoring.
Storage: If the user attempts to close the tab or navigate away, the plugin instantly sends the current field values to your WordPress database.
Management: These entries appear in your WPForms > Entries dashboard marked with an “Abandoned” status tag.
