The Moderate User Registration add-on is an official extension for the UsersWP plugin. It is designed to give site administrators manual control over who can join their community, effectively acting as a gatekeeper against spam and unauthorized signups.

Manual Approval: When active, new user accounts are placed in a “Pending” state. Admins must manually approve or reject each registration before the user can log in.
Blocking Access: Users under moderation are strictly prevented from logging into the site until their status is changed to “Approved.”
Custom Registration Actions: Adds a new option, “Require Admin Review,” to the UsersWP Form Builder settings.
Moderation Notice: After submitting a registration form, users see a custom notification (e.g., “Your account is under moderation. We will email you once it’s approved.”).
Status Emails:
To User: Notifies them that their registration is being reviewed and sends a follow-up email once they are approved or rejected.
To Admin: Notifies the administrator immediately when a new registration is awaiting review.
Dedicated Moderation Column: Adds a “UsersWP Moderation” column to the standard WordPress Users page, allowing for quick “Approve” or “Reject” actions.
Profile Review: Admins can approve or reject users directly from the backend user profile page.
Translatable: The add-on is 100% translatable, making it compatible with multilingual sites using WPML or Loco Translate.
Once this add-on is installed, you can toggle between these modes in UsersWP > User Types:
Auto Approve: Standard registration.
Auto Approve + Auto Login: Instant access.
Require Email Activation: User must click a link in their inbox.
