The MB Revision extension for the Meta Box framework allows you to track, compare, and restore changes made to custom fields using the native WordPress revision system.
By default, WordPress only tracks changes for the post title and content; this plugin bridges that gap for custom metadata.

Automatic Snapshots: Automatically copies custom field values from the parent post to the new revision whenever the post is updated.
Visual Comparison: On the revision comparison screen, added or removed lines are highlighted.
Note: Structural data (like arrays from groups or cloneable fields) are displayed as JSON-encoded strings for readability.
One-Click Restoration: Restoring a previous revision via the “Restore This Revision” button will also roll back all associated custom field data to that point in time.
