The importer doesn’t just “add users”; it handles complex relational data across the MemberPress ecosystem:
Data Types: Import Users, Products (Memberships), Subscriptions, Transactions, Coupons, and Rules.
User Management: Create new WordPress users or update existing ones. It automatically handles passwords (hashing them for security) and assigns roles.
Subscription Logic: Link transactions to specific subscriptions and memberships to ensure member access is correctly calculated.

To ensure a successful import, certain fields are mandatory depending on the data type:
For Users: username, email
For Subscriptions: username, product_id, amount, total, subscription_number, period, period_type (e.g., month/year).
For Transactions: username, product_id, amount, total, status (e.g., complete/pending), gateway_id.
