The FacetWP Map Add-On (and the now-integrated Map facet) allows you to display geocoded WordPress content—like listings, products, or posts—on an interactive map.
As of FacetWP v4.4 (released in 2025), the Map facet is now a built-in core feature. If you are using an older version, the standalone Map Add-On is required.

Map-as-a-Facet: The map itself acts as a filter. When users pan or zoom, the results list updates instantly to show only what is visible in the viewport (“Pan to Search”).
Marker Clustering: Automatically groups dense clusters of markers into a single bubble to maintain performance and visual clarity.
Marker Customization: Supports custom icons, colors, and interactive “Info Windows” (pop-ups) that display post titles, images, or custom HTML.
Proximity Integration: Pairs perfectly with the Proximity Facet to filter results by distance from a user’s zip code or current geolocation.
Spiderfier Support: If multiple markers share the exact same coordinates, they “spider” out when clicked so users can select individual items.
API Keys: You must provide your own API key for Google Maps or Mapbox. For Google Maps, ensure the Maps JavaScript API, Places API (New), and Geocoding API are enabled in your Google Cloud Console.
Migration: If you are upgrading from the “Legacy” Map Add-On to FacetWP 4.4+, you should deactivate the add-on to use the new optimized built-in version.
Advanced Custom Fields (ACF): It has native support for ACF’s Google Maps field type, making it the easiest way to handle coordinate data.
