Rule-Based Connections: Admins can create multiple friendship lists. When a user meets the criteria for a list, the connection is automated.
Three Connection Types:
Friendship List: Mutual friendship (User A and User B become friends).
Follower List: Adds specific users as followers of the new member.
Following List: Forces the new member to follow specific users.
Global vs. Conditional Lists:
Global: Every new member is automatically connected to the users on this list (ideal for connecting new users to site moderators or “Welcome” accounts).
Conditional: Connections are only made if the user matches specific Profile Fields (xProfile), User Roles, or Member Types.
Retroactive Sync: Includes a tool to apply these friendship rules to existing members, not just new registrations.
BuddyPress Connection Creator: A dedicated admin tool to manually force a connection between any two specific users.
