The Paid Trials add-on for the GetPaid WordPress plugin (formerly known as Invoicing) allows you to offer time-limited, low-cost, or free trial periods for subscription-based products. This is particularly useful for reducing “trial abuse” by charging a small commitment fee before the full subscription kicks in.

The Paid Trials add-on extends the default “Free Trial” capability of GetPaid with the following:
Flexible Trial Pricing: Set a one-time trial fee (e.g., $7 for 7 days) or a $0 trial.
Trial Durations: Define trial lengths in Days, Weeks, Months, or Years.
Automatic Conversion: Automatically transitions the user to the regular recurring billing cycle once the trial period ends.
Abuse Prevention: Includes settings to prevent users from signing up for multiple trials of the same product.
Sign-up Fees: Alternatively, you can use it to set a “Signup Fee” (a fixed amount added to the initial payment) followed by the regular recurring price.
Custom Messaging: Customize the trial information displayed on the checkout forms to improve transparency.
Gateway Support: Fully compatible with GetPaid’s major gateways, including Stripe, PayPal, and Authorize.net.
