Listing owners can create an unlimited number of questions and answers for each listing. This is particularly useful for complex niches like real estate, medical services, or legal consulting.
The interface allows users to reorder FAQs easily. If you want a specific “top” question to appear first, you can simply drag it to the top of the list in the submission form.
The FAQ field is a “Preset Field” within the Directorist Directory Builder.
Add Listing Form: You can drag the FAQ field into the submission form so users can fill it out during registration.
Single Listing Layout: You can choose exactly where the FAQs appear on the public listing page (e.g., in the main content area or a specific tab).
Schema Markup: The extension supports structured data (JSON-LD), which helps search engines like Google understand the content as an FAQ, potentially leading to Rich Snippets in search results.
Internal Search: FAQs are indexable, helping listings appear for specific “long-tail” keyword queries.
You can link the FAQ feature to your Pricing Plans. For example:
Free Plan: No FAQs allowed.
Premium Plan: Allows up to 10 FAQs to build more trust with potential customers.
Enable the Extension: Navigate to Directory Listings > Settings > Extensions > FAQS and toggle Enable FAQs.
Choose Editor: Select between Simple Textarea (best for speed) or WP Editor (best if you want to add bold text, links, or images to answers).
Place the Widget: You can use the Directorist – FAQs Widget in the sidebar via Appearance > Widgets or place it via a Page Builder (Elementor/Gutenberg).
