The Ads Manager provides a granular interface to control how, where, and when advertisements appear.
You aren’t limited to just images; the plugin supports various scripts and media:
Google AdSense: Paste your AdSense snippet directly.
Facebook Pixels: Track and retarget users via Facebook ads.
Static Image Ads: Upload custom banners and link them to specific URLs.
Custom HTML/JS: Allows for affiliate banners, custom scripts, or third-party ad network tags.
Ads can be injected into specific “hook” locations within the Directorist ecosystem:
Pages: All Listings, Single Listing, All Locations, All Categories, User Dashboard, etc.
Positions: Before/After Header, Footer, Filters, Listing Rows, and Search Bar.
Row Frequency: For the “All Listings” page, you can set ads to repeat after a specific number of listing rows (e.g., show an ad every 5 listings).
Expiry Management: Define an expiration date for each ad in days.
Fallback Content: Set a custom “Ad Expired” image or default content to show when a paid campaign ends.
Visibility Controls: Choose to show ads only to logged-in users, guests, or everyone.
Dimensions: Manually adjust the height and width of ad containers within the settings panel.
Each ad generated receives a unique Shortcode. This allows you to place a specific ad anywhere on your site outside of the predefined Directorist pages (e.g., in a sidebar widget or a blog post).
